Café Racers of Hong Kong documents a growing social scene of retro and vintage motorcyclists in a city of high rents, vast income disparity and volatile politics. Shot over a span of 4 years, the short film is a celebration of grassroots subculture and retro style, featuring music from the incredible Geneviéve Marentette, legendary post-rockers Joy Wants Eternity and local rockabilly greats, the Boogie Playboys. Ride with the rockers as Hong Kong’s SRBC motorcycle club take you on a tour of their scene and their city.

Wontonmeen is a short fictional film that follows four young people through the city of Hong Kong for 24 hours as they experience multiple realities, mutable temporalities and the subjective qualities of time.

A collaborative project between American artist Michael Rush, Russian artist Polina Shubkina, and Israeli artist Yael Bronner-Rubin, Palm is a three channel video and sound installation that immerses the viewer in the multi-sensual experience of a transcendental meditative dance.

Contemporary society in most countries focuses on technological progress and frequently underrates the spiritual experience.

Palm merges various dance gestures from Europe, North America, Middle East and East Asia into a hypnotic and tempting digital ritual. The actions of the interpretive dance are mirrored over and over, generating a variety of hallucinogenic shapes. The figure remains a mystery with only its fingers visible; holding many possibilities as to its identity or simultaneous identities, and questioning the understanding and meaning of spirituality in the digital age.

New subject matter after abruptly relocating from Southeast Asia to the land and waters of my childhood. A meditation on memory, perception and perspective. Climate change, personal and global.

Fragmented visions of a nocturnal world, of human interactions and non-interactions in an environment where the sheer amount of visual information can feel as oppressive and confining as the physical space. Memories of events that may never have really happened. Dreams lost in the mundane moments of urban life and the isolation one can experience even in the most densely populated of places. What is real, what is simulated, and what is imagined? Each of our subjective experiences are made up of these complex layers.
